Lincoln University is one of eight government universities in New Zealand, with a history stretching back more than a hundred and twenty five years. Lincoln University is New Zealand’s specialist land-based university, founded in 1878 as a School of Agriculture. The University has three faculties as follows:
Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences which includes the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Ecology, Department of Soil and Physical Sciences, Department of Wine, Food and Molecular BiosciencesFaculty of Commerce which includes the Accounting, Economics and Finance Department, Agricultural Management and Property Studies Department, Business Management, Law and Marketing Department
Faculty of Environment, Society and Design which includes the Department of Applied Computing, Department of Environmental Management, Department of Social Science, Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Sport, School of Landscape Architecture
