Projets de Recherche (PDR)

Programme description:
The Fund runs a community programme supporting mainly basic research through project-based funding (Projets de Recherche - PDR). Research projects are funded through a bottom-up principle following an open competition in a yearly call for research proposals and grants. The following scientific subfields within the research portfolio of the F.R.S.-FNRS are, amongst others, relevant to plant science: Environment and sustainability; Systems evolution, biological adaptation; Agriculture related to crop production, soil biology and cultivation, applied plant biology and Environmental biotechnology. Proposals should be submitted by researchers affiliated to a university of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (French-speaking Community). The PDR has a duration of 2 or 4 years and is intended to one or several research groups. The call for applications is opened once a year in the spring and is published on the F.R.S.-FNRS website. The submission of an application can only be made online, either in French or in English.
